Colonel Michael "Drifter" Gette, Commander, 388th FW.

Col. Gette is responsible for the readiness, training, morale, and welfare 

of more than 2,000 personnel who maintain and operate F-35A aircraft across ten squadrons. 

He is also responsible for the Utah Test and Training Range, 

a 3.2-million-acre jewel in Utah’s west desert that provides operational test 

and evaluation of weapons requiring a large safety footprint.

Here is your opportunity to come and see Drifter take off his flight suit 

and don western wear as he receives the TOUMAC Big Hat Award. 

He had requested golf shorts, but we told him cowboy boots wouldn't look so good with shorts. 

We also let him know he will not be able to wear his new hat in his jet.

We are thrilled to be honoring the one and only, Drifter, with this well deserved award!
