State DECA Convention

Description

DECA seeks volunteer judges from the local business community. DECA is a National Student Organization with nearly 180,000 members. DECA's sole purpose is to prepare students to become the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs with its key focuses being marketing, finance, hospitality and tourism, business management and administration, and personal finance. Judges will be asked to help evaluate and judge students in a variety of events, such as: Business Plan Pitches, Marketing Plans, Community Service Projects, and On-The-Spot Case Study Competitions. For the State Convention we anticipate around 1,100 students to attend representing schools from every corner of the state of Utah. These students are competing to earn their chance to attend and compete in an International Competition held in Orlando, Florida later this spring. Your time and expertise help these students get necessary feedback and critiques going forward. This time means the world to our students, and has proven to help them hit the ground running in their business careers.
