Four of the top doctors in their field join the Davis County Women In Business in September to talk about some of the most pressing issues in women’s health and answer audience questions. The best part is all four doctors are women from Davis County! You won’t want to miss this one-of-a-kind opportunity!

Meet our Doctors:
On a rainy day in April of 2018, I traveled to Layton from my home in New Hampshire for an interview and tour of Layton Hospital. As I put on my hard hat and vest over my interview clothes, I was filled with a sense of excitement. What I saw and heard that day far exceeded my expectations. The vision for the practice aligned perfectly with my approach to clinical care and the design of the hospital was extraordinary. As I said to my husband later that day, I was all in even before I could see those amazing mountains. I completed my medical training at Dartmouth Medical School (now Geisel School of Medicine) in Hanover, NH, and graduated in 2002. From there I went on to residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY. I practiced in Rochester for 6 years after residency and then moved back to New Hampshire for another 6 years of clinical practice. My interest in OB/GYN started even before medical school when I worked in a women's health clinic. In medical school my interest continued, and I knew that OB/GYN would be the best fit for me. I continue to be grateful for the privilege of providing healthcare to women from adolescence to menopause. Each patient brings with her a unique story and health concerns, and it is my job to meet my patients where they are. What I found over the years is that my greatest tools are my ears. If you are quiet and listen, patients will tell you what they need.
Growing up in the military, Carrie Gordon moved all over the country but returned to Utah when she started high school. She attended the University of Utah where she met her husband. After living in California for more than 18 years, they decided to move back to Utah to be closer to most of their family and many old friends.
Dr. Gordon received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Penn State in 2003 and did her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at UC Davis Medical Center in 2007. She was voted “Best Doctor” and “Best Medical Practice” three years in a row by Style Magazine. She is highly trained in minimally invasive gynecological surgery (including the DaVinci® robotic surgery) to treat such problems as fibroids, pelvic pain, and abnormal bleeding. She’s a compassionate, energetic physician with special interests in sexual dysfunction, infertility, hormone imbalances, and adolescent gynecology.
Dr. Gordon has been married to her husband Chris for more than 20 years and is a mother of three awesome children. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, riding her Peloton®, and spending time with her family.
Dr. Nadya Wayment comes to Tanner Clinic’s family medicine department
with a history of putting the patient first in everything she does. “Patient care is so important,” she said. “When you’re doing the best you can for the patient’s sake and having the organization to support those needs, it’s very rewarding.”
Originally from Chernivtsy, Ukraine, Dr. Wayment has spent over 15 years in the medical field. Dr. Wayment’s mother was a pediatrician in Ukraine and that example showed her the importance of taking care of people’s health. Whether she was practicing family medicine, working as a medical director, or helping people overcome their struggles, she works hard to ensure patients are taken care of.
Throughout her medical career, she has always made sure that the top priorities are patient care and preventative practices. “I wish more people knew how much preventative care saves lives,” she said. “It’s very important to take care of yourself for your future. Prevention is the key and it’s all about that knowledge.”
Before joining Tanner Clinic, Dr. Wayment received her medical from Bukovynian State Medical Academy and worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, MountainStar Primary Care, George E. Wahlen Ogden Veterans’ Home, Ogden Regional Medical Center, and Cold Creek Behavioral Health.
Outside of work, she and her family enjoy outdoor activities such as snowmobiling, skiing, hiking, and boating, as well as ballroom dancing. Catch her on the first season of Come Dance with Me!
Michelle Bischoff received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of California - Los Angeles in 2015 and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Utah in 2019. She received her fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease from the University of Utah and now works for Intermountain Health at McKay-Dee Hospital, Intermountain Layton Hospital and Logan Regional Hospital.
