Description
Conflict 101: Can't We All Just Get Along?
Speaker: Kevin L. Cummings, Director of Institutional Effectiveness at Davis Technical College
Do you hate conflict? Do you avoid sensitive topics with your friends, family or co-workers because it’s not worth the fight? Do you wish you could be more in control? Most people do not handle conflict well – because most of them haven’t had any training in conflict. The good news is that responding positively to conflict is a skill which can be learned. In this short, interactive presentation you’ll learn about the root causes of conflict and some simple skills and behaviors which will give you control in a variety of conflict situations.
